Marshmallow sheep cupcakes

Easy marshmallow sheep cupcakes with schoko-bons head

After the jelly adventure with snowman Olaf, I stayed with almost a whole packet of mini marshmallows. That is how I came up with the idea of making sheep cupcakes with marshmallows. You don’t need to carve in sugar mass, because the sheep’s head is ready candy. It’s enough to paint the eyes, nose, mouth, ears and the sheep with a frosting pen. Easy marshmallow sheep cupcakes are great for kid’s party or as Easter pastries.

Ingredients for 12 sheep cupcakes

I have been using the same cupcake recipe for years, it is very simple and always comes out 🙂 You can change the additions as you like, which makes the recipe very universal. This time I chose white caramel chocolate and it worked perfectly. You can also use frozen fruit, frozen raspberries are great.

How to make caramel cupcakes?

Preparation of the dough is very fast, so before you start set the oven to 180°C.

Then mix all dry ingredients in one bowl. Pour the wet ingredients into the second dish and mix until combined. Pour wet to dry part and mix thoroughly. Then add the sliced white chocolate and spread evenly in the dough. Pour into cupcakes mould and bake for 20 minutes at 180 ° C with hot air. Finally remove from oven and allow to cool.

If you work with children, remember to give them tasks so that they can actively participate. Sorting mini marshmallows worked great here 🙂

Prepare all the ingredients for the decoration, cooled down cupcakes and liquefied icing (according to the instructions on the packaging).

The biggest difficulty in making decorations is obtaining the right density of the coating. If you heat it too much, it becomes too leery, while when it is too cold it hardens quickly. Try to hit the point when it is still pouring, but already dense. The good news is that you can heat the coating repeatedly (in a water bath).

Then proceed to sticking mini marshmallows. Just place the marshmallows on the cupcake, so you can also involve children in that activity.

Leave some space for sheep’s head so that the Schoko-bons candy fits. If your topping is too liquid, try holding the candy longer or pressing it gently. You can also wrap it tightly with marshmallows to help hold the head.

The last stage is drawing details on the head with frosting markers. Start with white and make 2 dots for eyes. Then add pupils, nostrils, smile and ears with a brown pen.

Repeat the decorations for the remaining cupcakes. Now that the marshmallow sheep cupcakes are ready I wish you a great party and delicious cupcakes.
