Sequin Easter bunny

My daughter got a creative toy for her last birthday and finally it was me who was pinning sequins to complete the unicorn. I had many sequins left and I thought that I could use them for Easter decoration. That’s how I came up with the idea for sequin Easter bunny.

Preparation of the image base

The base of this image is a flat piece of polystyrene, which should be cut to the size of the frame you have. An additional layer is a simple piece of paper, it can be white or colored, and it all depends on the design of your image. Finally, connect everything firmly enough to put the image on a shelf or hang it on the wall.

The idea is very simple: you should pin the sequins into the styrofoam covered with a piece of paper. As always, the devil is in the details.

In this case the proverbial detail is the silhouette of a bunny. I looked at some of the inspiration on Pinterest and finally decided on a bunny silhouette drawn with one stroke . Several attempts with a pencil and I created satisfactory rabbit template.

I started pinning sequin along the drawn line. Pin after pin and after about an hour the whole shape of the bunny was filled.

In the unicorn set there were additionally sequin stars and my daughter really wanted to use them as well. That is why we decided to decorate the background with them. This is how the pensive hare against the starry sky was created 🙂

The sequin Easter bunny can stand on a shelf or hang on the wall. In each position it will definitely add charm and color to the upcoming Easter holidays.
