The giraffe – amigurumi zoo

I have to admit, that this is my first and probably the last crocheted giraffe :D. I’m a very patient person, but this animal has so many small pieces to crochet, that it was too much for me :). Starting from the beginning – in summer Victoria lost her favorite giraffe. Since that she constantly asks me to crochet similar one for her. I found very interesting pattern (unfortunately it’s not free so I can publish the link to it only) from Kristel Droog, who is amazingly talented. You can remember her name from my blog post with crocheted zebra, because the crochet pattern comes from her as well. I would like invite you to view the pictures of my giraffe. She has a small mini photo session 😉

What is needed?

  • Crochet pattern from MyKrissieDolls you can buy it via etsy
  • Yarn, here YarnArt Jeans in colors: yellow, creamy, brown and pink
  • Safety eyes
  • Fiberfill
  • Hook, I used the size of 2 mm
  • Scissors
  • Comb to brush the mane and and tail
  • Needle

Final result

The biggest challenge was to crochet and sew lots of giraffe’s patches. Recommended for patient person 🙂
