Today I present some ideas for Easter styrofoam eggs crafts 😁. Eggs with sequins are the most labor-intensive. The most effective ones are covered with glitter. On the other hand, the bird-eggs are the funniest.

#1 Sequins styrofoam eggs
You will need
- Styrofoam eggs – with children it is worth starting with smaller eggs, because it is really time consuming activity.
- Sequins – the larger the faster the work goes, 9 mm seems optimal.
- Pins – when using larger sequins, make sure that the head of the pin is larger than the hole in the sequin.
- Styrofoam screws – if you have eggs without ribbons, and you want to hang them, then you will also need string screws. Sometimes you can buy them in stationery stores, but they are always available online.
How to decorate a styrofoam egg with sequins?
The instructions are simple, as all you need to do is attach the sequins to the polystyrene egg with a pin. It is quite a laborious activity. Hence when working with kids it is worth having a small egg and large sequins. In that way kids will progress quickly. You can fill the egg tightly with sequins or attach the sequins next to each other, allowing for small white gaps.
#2 Glitter styrofoam eggs
You will need
- Styrofoam eggs
- Glitter
- Paper trays
- Glue
- Brush
- Styrofoam screws – if you have eggs without ribbons, and you want to hang them, then you will also need string screws. Sometimes you can buy them in stationery stores, but they are always available online.
How to decorate a styrofoam egg with glitter?
- Tighten the screw into the polystyrene egg.
- Choose the color of the glitter and open the container.
- Paint the entire egg with glue. You need to do this quite efficiently so that the glue does not dry out.
- Holding the egg over the tray, sprinkle it with glitter.
- When you have sprinkled all the glitter, place a second tray under the egg and sprinkle the egg with the glitter from the other tray again.
- Repeat sprinkling the glitter on the egg until it’s covered.
- Leave it to dry.
#3 Chicks with feathers from styrofoam eggs
You will need
- Styrofoam eggs
- Poster paints
- Self-adhesive eyes
- Red paper
- Colored feathers
- Glue
- Brush
- Scissors
- Styrofoam screws – if you have eggs without ribbons, and you want to hang them, you will also need to use styrofoam screws. Sometimes you can buy them in stationery stores, but they are always available online.
- A roll of toilet paper – to make an egg stand out of it.
How to make Easter chicks from styrofoam eggs?
- Tighten the screw into the Styrofoam egg.
- Paint the whole egg with poster paint and let it dry on a paper roll holder
- Make wings and a tip of the colored feathers.
- Attach the self-adhesive eyes.
- Make a beak out of red paper and stick it to the bird.
