🇵🇱 Polska wersja: Kwiatowy wianek z wytłaczanek po jajkach, czyli coś z niczego 🙂

You will need

  • Egg cartons – 2 boxes for 10 eggs are enough for a wreath the size of a large plate.
  • Cardboard – from which you can cut a circle the size of a large plate.
  • Scissors
  • Poster paints
  • Brushes
  • Glue or hot glue

How to make egg carton flowers?

The first step is to prepare the egg carton flowers. It depends a bit on the shape of the box. Mine had high protrusions in the center to prevent the eggs from being crushed. I started by cutting off these tabs and then cutting open the entire box. I cut out different shapes of flowers from each of the 10 cups. From the lid of the box I cut leaves of various sizes and narrow strips that will be used as a means for the flowers.

Then, together with my daughters, we started painting flowers and leaves.

The last step, after the paint is dry, is to assemble the flowers. They look best when they are of several colors. Therefore, each flower consists of at least two elements, and some even of three. Some of the flowers have tabs as a center, some have a rolled strip, and some have both.

Preparation of the wreath base

The base of the wreath is nothing more than a rim cut from an old box. To make such a base, draw a large and a small plate on the box. Then cut out the hoop and paint green with poster paint.

Assembling the egg carton flower wreath

The last step is to assemble all the elements of the wreath, i.e. stick the flowers and leaves to the cardboard rim.

It’s a good idea to start by creating a dry composition. Then proceed to sticking, first the leaves and then the flowers.

The egg carton flower wreath is ready 🌸🌸🌸
