Today we would like to share with you an idea for the maze game made out of Hama beads. The bead game is a double challenge for kids, because first you have to invent and create a maze, and then roll the ball through it. For a parent, the biggest challenge is to glue the maze to the base;)
Wersja polska: Gra zręcznościowa z koralików Hama
We have an instructional video prepared, we invite you to watch it 🙂
Materials
- Hama midi beads in 2 colors
- Large square board
- Baking paper
- Iron
- Hot glue
- The ball – we made of 2 self-adhesive pearls
How to make the maze game out of Hama beads?
The maze game consists of two parts. The first is a base that is easy to make, but time-consuming. The whole board should be filled with beads. The second part is more difficult to figure out, because you have to build a maze with the entrance at the top and the exit at the bottom. The size of the corridors depends on the size of the ball. First, we made a labyrinth with corridors two pins wide, and then we looked for a ball to fit 😁
After arranging the beads, iron both elements. The base should be ironed on both sides to make it more stable.
Sticking
This is quite a difficult moment when using hot glue, because you have to stick it in stages and be quick 😉
The last step is to clean out the remaining glue threads.
Maze game out of Hama beads is ready 🙂
Now it’s time to play. Let’s have some fun 😀

Nothing gives more satisfaction than doing something yourself. I haven’t even thought about DIY as my hobby, I’ve just done different “projects” when it was needed. Sometimes it’s a disguise for the Masquerade Party in kindergarten. Another time, cutting out the pumpkin and baking the witch’s fingers for Haloween. Or simply organizing holiday souvenirs. Now I decided to share my realizations with you. Let’s go it together!
