This Time We’re Stepping Into the World of Wednesday! 🌙🕷️ Together with my daughters, we created a special project inspired by the iconic duo — the dark Wednesday and her colorful roommate Enid. Using Perler beads, we made their distinctive window from Nevermore Academy and decorated it with feathers to turn it into a magical Wednesday Dreamcatcher. The result? A perfect blend of contrasts — black and color, order and chaos — just like their friendship 💫

Materials Needed:
- Perler beads – we used LaManuli beads. For this project, we combined black beads with glow-in-the-dark ones in translucent, pink, blue, yellow, green, and purple shades.
- 4 square pegboards for assembling the pattern
- Parchment paper and an iron
- String or embroidery floss in contrasting colors
- Feathers (black, pink, yellow, blue – in the style of Enid and Wednesday)
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape (optional) – we used it to attach the embroidery threads

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Creating the Window Pattern
On your pegboard, arrange a circular pattern inspired by the window from the Wednesday series. The black grid resembles a spiderweb. On the left side, fill it with pastel colors – this is Enid’s bright and lively half. On the right side, keep it monochrome and dark – just like Wednesday. You can use our pattern as a reference.

2. Ironing
Once your design is ready, cover it with parchment paper and gently iron both sides. Be careful not to overheat it – the beads should fuse together while keeping their holes slightly visible.
3. Adding Strings and Feathers
Attach colorful strings to the bottom of the circle (we stuck ours on double-sided tape), and tie feathers to their ends. Choose the feather colors to reflect the characters’ contrast: black for Wednesday, pastel for Enid.

4. Final Touches
Tie a string at the top to hang your dreamcatcher. Done! Hang it in your window or above your bed – let it guard your dreams (and add a touch of Nevermore style to your room!).
Wednesday Dreamcatcher
This project perfectly blends two opposites — darkness and color, order and creative chaos. And it looks absolutely stunning with light shining through the beads 🌈🖤

Nothing gives more satisfaction than doing something yourself. I haven’t even thought about DIY as my hobby, I’ve just done different “projects” when it was needed. Sometimes it’s a disguise for the Masquerade Party in kindergarten. Another time, cutting out the pumpkin and baking the witch’s fingers for Haloween. Or simply organizing holiday souvenirs. Now I decided to share my realizations with you. Let’s go it together!
