Autumn is the perfect season to get creative with nature’s treasures! 🍂 This time, we decided to mix fall vibes with a spooky Halloween twist — and that’s how our Halloween Chestnut Eye Wreath was born! 👀🌰🎃
It’s a fun, quirky, and slightly eerie decoration that combines natural materials with a pinch of imagination. Just a handful of chestnuts, a wooden hoop, and a glue gun — and you’ve got a wreath that’s hard to look away from (literally!). 👁️

You will need
- 🌰 Chestnuts – various sizes work best
- 🎨 Acrylic markers – white, black, and any colors for the iris
- 🪵 Wooden hoop – or you can make one from twigs
- 🔥 Hot glue gun
- ✂️ (optional) String, ribbon, or a few autumn decorations

Step-by-step instructions
Create the eyes 👁️
Use acrylic markers to draw the white part, the iris, and the pupil.
Add tiny veins or shadows for a creepier effect — perfect for Halloween! 💀 If you’re crafting with kids, let them experiment with different eye expressions — sleepy, surprised, happy, or scared. Each chestnut can have its own personality! 😄
Let the paint dry completely.

Glue the chestnuts
Use hot glue to attach the chestnuts to the hoop.
You can arrange them evenly around the circle or group them together to make it look like a bunch of curious eyes peeking out from the dark. 👀

Add final touches
Add a few leaves, twigs, or a ribbon in Halloween colors — black, orange, or purple — to complete the look.
All done!
Your spooky Chestnut Eye Wreath is ready to hang on your door or wall.
It’s the perfect mix of nature, fun, and a little Halloween magic. 😈

Nothing gives more satisfaction than doing something yourself. I haven’t even thought about DIY as my hobby, I’ve just done different “projects” when it was needed. Sometimes it’s a disguise for the Masquerade Party in kindergarten. Another time, cutting out the pumpkin and baking the witch’s fingers for Haloween. Or simply organizing holiday souvenirs. Now I decided to share my realizations with you. Let’s go it together!
