A rowan garland is an effective autumn decoration. Rowan beads can be hung on a hoop or on a long stick. Our rowan garland was created during one lesson and was made by 20 second-graders 😍.
Polska wersja: Girlanda z jarzębiny
Materials needed
- Rowan berries, irgi, hawthorn – all orange and red berries will be good
- Needle and thread
- Wooden hoop or stick
- Twine for rim or stick suspension
How to make a rowan garland
🍒 The first step is to prepare the needle and thread.
🍒 The second step is threading rowan beads onto a thread. In our case it was about 50 berries per thread.
🍒 Then attach the string to the hoop, which will be used to hang the garland.
🍒 The last step is tying all the strands with the beads on the wooden hoop.

Nothing gives more satisfaction than doing something yourself. I haven’t even thought about DIY as my hobby, I’ve just done different “projects” when it was needed. Sometimes it’s a disguise for the Masquerade Party in kindergarten. Another time, cutting out the pumpkin and baking the witch’s fingers for Haloween. Or simply organizing holiday souvenirs. Now I decided to share my realizations with you. Let’s go it together!
