Rowan garland

How to make a rowan garland

A rowan garland is an effective autumn decoration. Rowan beads can be hung on a hoop or on a long stick. Our rowan garland was created during one lesson and was made by 20 second-graders 😍.

🇵🇱 Polska wersja: Girlanda z jarzębiny

Materials needed

  • Rowan berries, irgi, hawthorn – all orange and red berries will be good
  • Needle and thread
  • Wooden hoop or stick
  • Twine for rim or stick suspension

How to make a rowan garland

🍒 The first step is to prepare the needle and thread.

🍒 The second step is threading rowan beads onto a thread. In our case it was about 50 berries per thread.

🍒 Then attach the string to the hoop, which will be used to hang the garland.

🍒 The last step is tying all the strands with the beads on the wooden hoop.
