We have some dried leaves left after the herbarium and we decided to use them for our next project 🍁🍂. The autumn leaf fairy is cute and easy to make with our template 🤩.

You will need

• Leaves dried flat
• Scissors
• Glue
• Pencil
• Cardboard in the color of a fairy’s body 🧚‍♂️
• Fairy Body Template

How to make an autumn leaf fairy

🍁First, download and print the template. The shape is in two sizes, so cut the one that suits you best. Draw the template on the color cardboard and cut out again.

🍁Then prepare the leaf for the hair. It should be a little bigger than the head. Sketch the shape of the fringe at the top of the leaf and gently cut or puncture it with a pencil.

🍁Now, insert the fairy’s head into the leaf gap so that the fringe of the leaf slides over the forehead. This is also a good time to draw the fairy’s face.

🍁The next step is to prepare the dress. It can be done in many ways. The daughter decided to do with a fitted top, so she traced the template on the leaf and cut it out. The bottom of the dress is another leaf glued on the waist.

🍁If you choose a fairy with wings, you will need two narrow leaves. You can paint them with white hearts imitating the veins on the wings.

🍁All elements should be glued to the cardboard.
