I bought white and red paper straws as a filler for free shipping, and it turns out they are super cool material for stars. I invite you to read and watch how to make paper straw stars. It’s a bit of a puzzle with the first star, but the next ones ⭐️⭐️⭐️ are coming fast 😀
Polska wersja: Jak zrobić gwiazdki z papierowych słomek
You will need:
- Paper straws
- String
- Scissors
- A plastic needle and a skewers stick – they make threading straws on a string very easy, but you can also manage without them.

How to make paper straw stars
The first step is to cut the straws in half, but you can also skip it and make bigger stars out of whole straws.
Then thread the 5 straws onto the string and tie the strings together to form a hoop.

Now the most difficult moment, i.e. forming a star. To do this:
- Bend the lower left corner to the right side so that the corner is above the straw on the right.
- Drag the new lowest left corner over the straw from the upper triangle and under the upper straw.
- Make a nice star with the corners evenly spaced.

Nothing gives more satisfaction than doing something yourself. I haven’t even thought about DIY as my hobby, I’ve just done different “projects” when it was needed. Sometimes it’s a disguise for the Masquerade Party in kindergarten. Another time, cutting out the pumpkin and baking the witch’s fingers for Haloween. Or simply organizing holiday souvenirs. Now I decided to share my realizations with you. Let’s go it together!
