How to make Christmas cards with felt?

You should prepare a card base in the selected format. My cards are 21cm x 10cm, which means you need to cut out a 21cm x 20cm rectangle.

In the middle, make a slight cut with a knife along the ruler to mark the bend. This makes it easier to fold the card in the right place.

Preparing the cards' base

Christmas card with the Christmas tree forest

First, I prepared triangles in different sizes and colors. I cut one out of light and dark green felt, the other out of colorful duck tape. In addition, I prepared foam, glitter self-adhesive Christmas trees.

Next, I planned the composition and when I was satisfied with the effect, I started gluing the Christmas trees.

Final touch in the form of a golden glitter star and self-adhesive pearls.

Christmas card – geometric Christmas tree

I prepared a Christmas tree template on an additional sheet and drew it on both sides of the sheet. For the dimensions of my card, I chose a triangle with a base of 8 cm and a height of 15 cm.

Then I prepared triangles from felt and color tape. I adjusted them to the drawn template.

It remains to glue the patterns onto the card. Triangles can go beyond the edges, because there is a shape on the reverse of the card that can be cut out. It is important that there are no gaps inside. Do not worry about white traces of glue, because glue becomes transparent after drying.

Next, the most pleasant moment, i.e. cutting out the Christmas tree using the triangle pattern drawn on the reverse of the card. At the end, all that’s left is to glue the geometric Christmas tree onto the card and add a glitter star.

Christmas cards with felt and color tape are ready!

Now all that’s left is to write your wishes and send 🙂
