In this post you will find two ideas for Christmas cards with felt, colored tape and glitter foam stickers. The first version is a horizontal Christmas tree forest, and the second option is a vertical geometric Christmas tree.
Polska wersja: Kartki świąteczne z filcu i kolorowej taśmy
Supplies for Christmas cards with felt and color tape
- Natural cardboard (e.g. the back of the drawing pad)
- Knife (optional, a delicate incision makes it easier to bend the cardboard)
- Materials to decorate the card: color tapes, felt, self-adhesive Christmas trees and glitter stars, pearls.
How to make Christmas cards with felt?
You should prepare a card base in the selected format. My cards are 21cm x 10cm, which means you need to cut out a 21cm x 20cm rectangle.
In the middle, make a slight cut with a knife along the ruler to mark the bend. This makes it easier to fold the card in the right place.
Christmas card with the Christmas tree forest
First, I prepared triangles in different sizes and colors. I cut one out of light and dark green felt, the other out of colorful duck tape. In addition, I prepared foam, glitter self-adhesive Christmas trees.
Next, I planned the composition and when I was satisfied with the effect, I started gluing the Christmas trees.
Final touch in the form of a golden glitter star and self-adhesive pearls.
Christmas card – geometric Christmas tree
I prepared a Christmas tree template on an additional sheet and drew it on both sides of the sheet. For the dimensions of my card, I chose a triangle with a base of 8 cm and a height of 15 cm.
Then I prepared triangles from felt and color tape. I adjusted them to the drawn template.
It remains to glue the patterns onto the card. Triangles can go beyond the edges, because there is a shape on the reverse of the card that can be cut out. It is important that there are no gaps inside. Do not worry about white traces of glue, because glue becomes transparent after drying.
Next, the most pleasant moment, i.e. cutting out the Christmas tree using the triangle pattern drawn on the reverse of the card. At the end, all that’s left is to glue the geometric Christmas tree onto the card and add a glitter star.
Christmas cards with felt and color tape are ready!
Now all that’s left is to write your wishes and send 🙂

Nothing gives more satisfaction than doing something yourself. I haven’t even thought about DIY as my hobby, I’ve just done different “projects” when it was needed. Sometimes it’s a disguise for the Masquerade Party in kindergarten. Another time, cutting out the pumpkin and baking the witch’s fingers for Haloween. Or simply organizing holiday souvenirs. Now I decided to share my realizations with you. Let’s go it together!
